In this bowl they almost look like candies, but they are earrings. I like the bright and cheerful colors,even more today that the sky is so cloudy... This earrings are made of wood beads hand painted by me and sealed with many layers of shiny varnish. You can find some of them for sale in my Etsy shop

Prendetene uno (o due)! In questa ciotola sembrano quasi caramelle, ma sono orecchini. Mi piaciono i colori vivaci e allegri, specialmente oggi che il cielo è così nuvoloso... Gli orecchini sono fatti con perle di legno dipinte a mano da me e verniciati con più mani di vernice lucida. Potete trovarne alcuni in vendita nel mio negozio Etsy. (Un po' di pubblicità non fa mai male! ^_^ )

Ieri mi è finalmente arrivato questo libro che avevo ordinato su the book depository come auto-regalo di Natale! Non vedevo l'ora di averlo tra le mani. Non ho ancora avuto il tempo di vederlo approfonditamente (la mia lettura è stata interrotta dal fatto che sono crollata addormentata sul divano con tanto di libro in mano), ma mi sono già fatta un'idea. Il punto di forza del libro è che fa vedere chiaramente come il polymer clay sia un mezzo versatile, che si può utilizzare per produrre tantissimi oggetti diversi, e come questo materiale possa essere utilizzato anche come mezzo di espressione artistica (ci sono alcuni pezzi che sono delle vere e proprie opere d'arte). Però ci sono anche degli aspetti che non mi hanno convinto molto, per prima cosa (lo so, sono pignola) il fatto che l'ho aperto tre volte e la colla del dorsetto si sta già staccando, la qualità delle foto è molto buona, ma non sempre eccelsa, e, soprattutto, le opere all'interno non sono suddivise secondo nessun tipo di categoria (per esempio autore, tipologia di oggetto, tecnica etc...) ma sono tutte mescolate. Nel complesso però sono soddisfatta del mio acquisto, anche visto il prezzo contenuto (l'ho pagato intorno ai 14 euro). Non vedo l'ora di tornare a casa per potermi reimmergere nella lettura!

Yesterday I received this book, that I ordered from the book depository as a self-gift for Christmas. I only had time for a superficial look (I fell asleep on my couch while I was reading),but I think that the main positive aspects of this book are that it shows that polymer clay is very versatile and that it can be used as an artistic medium. But there are some drawbacks (I know, I can be fussy). First of all, the cover is already coming off and I've only opened it three times. The pictures are good, but not always excellent and the content isn't organized in categories (like author, kind of object, technique etc). Anyway I can say I'm satisfied with my purchase, even more because it was quite inexpensive (I paid it around 14 euros). I can't wait to go home and have another look at the book!

...solo una nuvola che vaga, un po' qui un po' là, va dove la porta il vento. Come me, forse un po' incostate, ma curiosa, mi appassiono a tante cose diverse, vorrei poter fare tutto ma ovviamente non è possibile, e quindi spizzico un po' qui e un po' lì. E come una nuvola che vaga e vede il mondo sotto di sè anche a me capita di vedere cose belle e interessanti, che vorrei condividere riportandole in questo blog. Forse questa introduzione non è molto chiara, non si capisce molto di cosa parlo immagino... Vediamo, di cosa parlerà questo blog? ancora non so esattamente rispondere a questa domanda, vediamo dove mi porterà il vento!

...just a wandering cloud that goes here and there, just following the wind. Like me, it can be a little erratic, but curious. I get fond of many different things, I'd like to be able to do everything, but obviously this is not possible, so i thake a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Like a cloud wandering in the sky I see a lot of nice and beautiful things, that I'd like to share with you in this blog. Maybe this introduction isn't very clear, you don't uderstand what I'm talking about I guess... Let's see, what am I going to talk about in this blog? I cannot answer precisely the question yet, let's see where the wind takes me!
